Beginners Guide To 3D Television

Unless you’re a techie, you probably don’t know much about 3d television other than the images will jump out at you and special glasses are needed to enjoy the 3d effects. Most of us have gone to the theater for the novelty of watching a 3d movie, using cardboard glasses, and were amazed at the objects that seemed to pop out of the screen and hover in front of our eyes. However, there is much more to it than that, some of which is very interesting.

The 3d effect is created when the camera recording the video uses two lenses set slightly apart, which gives two marginally different views of the scene. Then when worn, the special glasses cause each of your eyes to take in a separate image, tricking your brain into seeing in 3d rather than 2d. We all know that when watching a movie in 3d, the images seem to jump out at you. What many people don’t know is that the perception of depth in 3d movies is often a more impressive feature. You will feel that you are right in the scene and can actually lean over and see what’s on the other side of a wall.
