Lockheed Martin generally spends their time developing security technologies for the U.S. Government, in fact 95% of it’s revenue comes from government agencies, and they are to date the largest defense contractor. However, their most recent product is one of a much smaller scale, but is certainly not insignificant.
The Ironclad USB stick allows you to store an entire operating system, applications and files all on one secure USB stick you can carry around in your pocket. The “Ironclad Technology” will power up the operating system right from the USB stick, and will not leave a single trace on the host computer. This means you can work on even the most sensitive of documents on public computers.
Ironclad drives will come with at least 8GB of 256-bit encrypted storage, and is enclosed in a water and shock resistant metal case. All Ironclad drives also serve as a node on a centrally managed network, allowing organizations to keep track of their drives, as well as set permissions for what types of applications can be installed.
