The designers of this folding computer keyboard concept claim they designed it as a way to prevent possible infection and germ transmission when using public computers.   Rather than carry around Clorox wipes leading everyone to believe your a germophobe, you could simply bring your own keyboard.

Portable keyboards are nothing new, there have been several variants of flexible silicone roll-up keyboards in the past.  The biggest problem with a flexible keyboard, is just that… that it’s flexible, and that just feels awkward in a keyboard.  This fold up keyboard maintains a rigid feel, similar to a real keyboard.

I’d love to get my hands on one of these to try it out, it really sounds like a great idea.   Not so much for the “germ protection” but as a decent portable keyboard.
