GPU of the Video Card
The video card (also called graphics card or display adapter) is a bridge between motherboard and monitor; its main function is to take order with command and data offered by CPU, and then change them into words or images which can be accepted by display. I bought the MSI NX8800GT just because it has 2 DVI plugs and soon after I got it I found than apart from that, it’s a great video card for doing my work as web designer. Having two screens at the same time saves a LOT OF TIME and allow you to make things faster, use different applications at the same time, etc. It’s fast, reliable and affordable.
The only thing that confused me at the beginning is that I was plugging it and getting no signal on the screen. After almost an hour of thinking it was damaged I realized it has a electricity plug which needs to be connected to one of the cables going out from the power supply. Maybe it sounds weird but I’ve never had a graphic card that needed to be plugged to the power supply.
