Skirt transforms woman into soda machine

While this isn’t really a gadget… it’s got some interesting ingenuity, and it’s just too weird of a story for me to pass up!

Aya Tsukioka, a 29 year old fashion designer from Tokyo has devised an interesting way for Japanese woman to stay safe.  Rather than use typical methods of self defense, such as pepper spray, stun guns, and high decible alarms, Ms. Tsukioka opted for a traditional ninja tactic of disappearing in plain sight.

By pulling up a flap in the front, then raising  your arms, you can turn into a soda machine.  Yes, you read that right…. a soda machine.

Trapped inside it’s clever flaps and folds, this skirt contains a complete sode machine costume that can be “changed into” in a matter of seconds.  The idea… is that if a woman is attacked, she can run around a corner, and disguise herself as a soda machine, and the would-be attacker is supposed to keep running.

Personally, I think someones been reading too much Harry Potter.
