More 3D TV Channels Coming

In addition to DirecTV’s previously announced 3D TV channel, Discovery, Sony, ESPN and IMAX have all announced that they will be launching 3D ventures of their own.
Discovery, Sony, and IMAX are working together to build a “24-7 network” which is said to include content such as natural history, space, exploration, adventure, engineering, science, technology, movies and children’s programming.

ESPN will also be launching its own 3D network, which will kick off with World Cup Soccer on June 11th.

DirecTV is still hard at work designing it’s 3D channel, scheduled to launch in June, and has now partnered with Panasonic who will provide production gear and promotional support.
